This past week has been a busy one for the BTFCC staff as they set up the new cancer center equipment and furniture and open the center for 24-hour emergency care and in-patient services. Dr. Derrel walker has been busy preparing policies and procedures for the hospital and training the staff on palliative care.
BTF co-founders Dr. Binay Shah and Tara Shah also arrived in Janakpur this week to support the development of the Binaytara Foundation Cancer Center. We will be holding the 2nd annual oncology and palliative care conference in Janakpur tomorrow which is expected to be attended by more than 75 physicians in the area.
