Request for Consulting Services from Consulting Firms

  1. Binaytara Cancer Trust (BCT) Kadam Chowk, Janakpurdham, has received support from the Binaytara Foundation 22525 SE 64th Pl, Issaquah, WA 98027, USA for the construction of the first phase (100-bed) of the Binaytara Foundation Cancer Center (BTFCC) at Lohana ward No. 25 of Janakpurdham sub-metropolitan city. The BCT invites qualified applicants for consulting services to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR), including all the related and required works.
  2. The layout and orientation of the hospital building will be prepared by Fong and Chan Architects, USA. The selected consulting firm will be required to make the layout, orientation, and design of the hospital building compatible with the Nepalese context and conditions for approval from different Nepalese government agencies. The layout and orientation of the hospital building can be requested by sending an email to [email protected] from 14 December 2022 onward.
  3. The selected firm will review the building’s orientation and layout and prepare detailed structural design and suggest modifications and improvements to the layout and orientation if needed. The selected firm may be required to perform a field survey, soil investigation, and utility survey of the site if required by the American Architects and will work in close coordination with American Architects throughout the consulting services project period. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) will include detailed design, cost estimates, rate analysis, specifications, and other additional requirements that the concerned approving agencies need. The selected consultant will also be required to prepare bid documents for hospital building construction along with BoQ (bill of quantities) and specifications in detail.
  4. The selected consulting firm will be responsible for getting the DPR approved by the Department of Urban Development and Building Construction (DUDBC), Ministry of Health (MoH), Janakpurdham sub-metropolitan city office, and Social Welfare Council (SWC). The selected consulting firm will prepare all the drawings, reports, and details of the documents as and when needed by the above-mentioned government agencies.
  5. The consulting firms are invited to come up with a detailed proposal along with a bar chart of different activities and their completion time for field work, table work, DPR preparation, and approval from the above-mentioned government agencies. Consulting firms should also come up with finance details to complete the job. Any fees and levies needed to be paid to the government agencies for approval purposes will be paid by the Binaytara Cancer Trust (BCT). The financial payment to the selected consulting firm will be based on the job completion basis and not on a person-month basis.   6. Binaytara Cancer Trust (BCT) holds the right to accept or partially accept or reject the whole or part of the proposals submitted by the consulting firms without assigning any reasons whatsoever. The consulting firms are not entitled to claim any compensation for that.
  7. The interested consulting firms themselves shall bear the expenditure for the proposal preparation, and any compensation regarding that expenditure shall not be reimbursed by Binaytara Cancer Trust (BCT).
